FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Are Vote By Mail ballots always counted?
A: Yes. By law, all Vote By Mail ballots are counted. In fact, they are the first votes we report on Election Night.
Q: Why does Hillsborough County publish voting material in English and Spanish?
A: Hillsborough County is a "covered jurisdiction" under the Language Minority Groups provision of the Voting Rights Act, so we are required by law to publish voting material in both English and Spanish.

Voter registration applications and other written communications to or from the Supervisor of Elections are public records and are available to the public and media upon request unless the information is subject to a specific statutory exemption. Email addresses are also public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, please contact us by mail or phone, or visit us in person.
