HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY: The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections (SOE) office urges County residents to make certain they are registered to vote in the November General Election. The deadline to register is Monday, October 6, 2008.
Supervisor Johnson said, “We are ready to assist County residents with all their voting needs, whether to register, update a signature or address, change a party affiliation or learn more about early and absentee voting. A large turn-out is expected, and we encourage County residents to register and play a part in this historic election.”
County residents are encouraged to visit the SOE web site (www.votehillsborough.org ) to download a voter registration application. Once completed, the registration application can be mailed or dropped off at either SOE office. Voter registration applications can also be obtained (and dropped off) at any Hillsborough County public library.
Johnson further reminds voters that they do not have to fight traffic, waste gas, or stand in long lines on Election Day. Hillsborough County registered voters can vote early at any of the 13 convenient early voting locations around the County, or request an absentee ballot, which enables voters to peruse and complete their ballot with care from the comfort of their own homes. Learn more about our Request-A-Ballot service by contacting the Elections Office at 813-612-4180.
