New Voter Registration

How to Register to Vote

If you are 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of Hillsborough County you may register to vote. Seventeen year olds may pre-register and receive their card in the mail after their 18th birthday.

The Florida Voter Registration Application is used to register to vote, make changes to your voter registration record and request a replacement Voter Information Card. It is permitted under Florida statute to reproduce the state Voter Registration Application, provided that the format and size is the same as the state registration application.

You may download a Florida Voter Registration Application on-line by clicking here. Please remember to sign your completed application before you submit it.

A Voter Registration Application may also be obtained at the following locations: The Supervisor of Elections Office; Driver's License Offices; Public Libraries; social services agencies such as Community Care for Disabled Adults, Centers for Independent Living, Division of Blind Services, Veteran Affairs, Public Assistance, Armed Forces Recruiting Offices, Vocational Rehabilitation, Workers Compensation Offices, WIC; and City Halls.

You may also request to have a form mailed to you by calling or E-mailing the Supervisor of Elections Office.

After completing the Voter Registration Application, it can be mailed or delivered to the Supervisor of Elections Office. A Voter Information Card will be mailed to the applicant approximately three weeks after the application is processed.
