Poll Workers

Requirements Positions Apply

We’re looking for friendly people who can confidently work with voters so that they have a great experience voting. As a poll worker, you’ll be checking voters in, handing out ballots, directing people around the polling place, keeping equipment running, or giving out “I Voted” stickers. You can learn even more about what it’s like to be a poll worker by clicking here.

All poll workers must meet some basic requirements. For example, you must be registered to vote in Hillsborough County, and you must be able to work for at least 14 hours on Election Day.

IT'S A 2-STEP PROCESS

The online application process will take about 15-30 minutes, so please make sure you have the time to complete it before beginning.

Step 1: You’ll answer some questions to make sure you meet the basic requirements for being a poll worker in Hillsborough County.

Step 2: You'll complete the poll worker application.

  • New poll workers will also complete a short assessment on customer service, leadership, computer knowledge, and attention to detail as well as a survey.

After you’ve finished the process, watch your email for communication from our office.

If now is a good time, click 'Begin' below to get started.
