FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Are Vote By Mail ballots always counted?
A:  Yes. By law, all Vote By Mail ballots are counted. In fact, they are the first votes we report on Election Night.

Q: Why does Hillsborough County publish voting material in English and Spanish?
A:  Hillsborough County is a "covered jurisdiction" under the Language Minority Groups provision of the Voting Rights Act, so we are required by law to publish voting material in both English and Spanish.

Q: Why am I allowed to vote in any Early Voting location during the Early Voting period, but on Election Day I have to vote in my assigned neighborhood polling place?
A:  During Early Voting, we have printers in each voting site, and no matter what districts you live in, we can print your ballot for you when you arrive. Ballots are printed in advance for Election Day. When you go to your polling place on Election Day, your ballot will be waiting for you.
